Progesterone is a naturally occurring hormone involved in the menstrual cycle and reproductive health. The Progesterone Capsule may be prescribed as part of an individualized treatment plan for women navigating hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause.

Progesterone may be prescribed as part of hormone therapy during perimenopause or menopause. It may also be used alongside estrogen therapy when appropriate. Your Ivím provider will consider your symptoms, health history, and treatment goals when determining whether progesterone is appropriate for you.

The Progesterone Capsule is taken orally. Use it exactly as prescribed by your Ivím provider and follow the instructions provided with your individualized treatment plan.

Depending on your symptoms and health history, your provider may prescribe estradiol, progesterone, DHEA, or other therapies as part of a coordinated care plan that can be adjusted over time.

Progesterone may not be appropriate for everyone, including some people with unexplained vaginal bleeding, liver disease, certain hormone-sensitive cancers, a history of blood clots or cardiovascular disease, pregnancy, or known allergies to progesterone. Your provider will review your medical history, medications, and individual risk factors before prescribing treatment.
